Meet Our Dedicated Charity Partners: Together, We’re making a difference
Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the UK’s leading charities dedicated to supporting people living with cancer. Founded in 1911, the organisation provides practical, emotional, physical and financial support to individuals diagnosed with cancer, as well as their families and carers.
Macmillan works to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. They offer a wide range of services including specialist nurses, support helplines, financial guidance, counselling, and information resources to help people understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
In hospitals and communities across the UK, Macmillan professionals help patients manage the impact cancer has on their daily lives. In addition to direct support, Macmillan also campaigns to improve cancer care and influence government policy, aiming to create better services and outcomes for people affected by cancer. Their overall mission is to do whatever it takes to support people through cancer — from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond.
Alzheimer’s Society.
The Alzheimer’s Society offers a wide range of services including support groups, a national helpline, dementia advisers, and practical guidance to help people manage daily challenges after a diagnosis. They provide trusted information about dementia, treatment options, and coping strategies, helping individuals maintain independence and quality of life for as long as possible.
In addition to direct support, the charity funds vital research and campaigns for improved care, greater awareness, and better rights for people living with dementia. Their work also focuses on reducing stigma and ensuring communities become more dementia-friendly.
Their overall aim is to ensure that no one has to face dementia alone, offering support from diagnosis through every stage of the condition
Royal British Legion.
Royal British Legion is a UK charity dedicated to supporting members of the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans, and their families. Founded in 1921, the organisation provides lifelong support to those who have served in the British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force.
The Royal British Legion offers a wide range of services including financial assistance, housing support, mental health services, employment guidance, and community connection. They help individuals cope with the challenges that can arise from military service, such as injury, bereavement, or transitioning to civilian life.
In addition to practical support, the charity plays a leading role in remembrance, organising national events such as the annual Poppy Appeal and supporting commemorations like Remembrance Sunday. They also campaign to improve the welfare and rights of the Armed Forces community.
Their overall mission is to ensure that those who serve, or have served, and their families are treated with fairness and respect, and receive the support they need throughout their lives.
